Foi divulgada a fotografia vencedora do World Press Photo 2010. A imagem ganhadora foi a do fotógrafo Jodi Bieber e retrata uma jovem afegã, de dezoito anos, mutilada pelo marido.A fotografia havia sido publicada na capa da revista Time em 01 de agosto de 2010.

Lembra muito a foto da menina Afegã de Steve McCurry, 1984, famosa ao estampar a capa da National Geographic.

  3. A foto retrata uma violência contra a mulher, o que é terrível. Entretanto o trabalho do fotógrafo em retratar tal violência é de fundamental importância.
